Vivaldi Metal Project's album "The Four Seasons" is released!

Dear fans!

22nd of July 2016 is another extremely important day for our orchestra Sinfonietta Consonus. We would like to proudly announce the official premiere of Vivaldi Metal Project „The Four Seasons” CD.

 What is this all about?
Whole story started in 2013, when head of the project - Mistheria, started to think about making a metal version of “The Four Seasons”. After two years of hard work, this unique idea became reality. Together with Italian bassist and composer Alberto Rigoni (solo artist, TwinSpirits, Kim Bingham, The Italians, BADASS), they gathered a group of over 130 musicians from all over the world and recorded a symphonic-metal opra based on Antonio Vivaldi’s Baroque masterwork “The Four Seasons”. What is more, Mistheria made an innovative choice, something that have never been done before – he decided to add to classic masterpiece lyrics and singers.  Isn’t this impressive?

Nearly 6 months ago we entered the Radio Gdańsk studio to record symphonic parts arranged by Michał Mierzejewski and along with that we became a part of this amazing experience. It was another opportunity to work with our great collaborators – conductor Szymon Morus and sound engineer Jakub Mańkowski. It was not only great fun but also great honor, as VMP is one of the biggest music projects in history.
The album is a full 74 minutes of intense, passionate, fascinating, powerful and majestic experience!
We hope you’ll enjoy it, as we do!

The full album is FROM NOW available on iTunes!

New management of the Sinfonietta Consonus Orchestra and the Symphonic Theater of Dreams project

On October 25th, 2015, Joanna Kożuch started close cooperation with Michał Mierzejewski, thus becoming co-manager of the Symphonic Theater of Dreams project, the Sinfonietta Consonus orchestra as well as career manager of the composer and arranger Michał Mierzejewski.

Joanna Kożuch is a fifth-year student of Management (specialty : project management) at the University of Economics in Wrocław and a fourth-year student of Journalism and Communication (specialization: creative writing ) at the University of Wrocław. She is also a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Music Managers .

Michał Mierzejewski about his decision:
"For over a year I managed both my own career as well as the career of our orchestra.  At the same time I worked on music, created  scores and coordinated very demanding projects.

I was also looking for a perfect person to help me/help us put some new energy into our actions, advance all the ideas we share and take over most of my duties.

It was hard for me to trust anyone in this matter but Joanna was the only one who convinced me. I know she is the ideal person who can provide us with comfort and allow us to work on what we love most. Thanks to her work our project will develop even more effectively and efficiently. After a few weeks of cooperation and preparation for the next two projects I became aware that the choice was perfect."

Joanna Kożuch on her joining SC and SToD:
"This is a serious situation. I treat it both as an opportunity and a pleasure. This is one of a few jobs in which by creating a new value you get enriched with that new value. I have always loved  to surround myself with people and music. Now, inevitably, it will be something natural and necessary.

Some accuse me of being an idealist. However, I really believe that saying  "everything is possible" is actually realistic ."

Contact form will appear on official websites very soon.

Explorations by Jordan Rudess released

We are really excited to announce that very amazing and innovative orchestral project is released. Our orchestra recorded CD with one of the greatest pianist and keyboardist - Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater band.
The story of this project is truly amazing. Preparations has started many, many months ago. We were rehearsing very intensive, orchestra entered to studio for one full month in October. We have spent amazing time in Radio Gdańsk.
Jordan Rudess visited us for 10 days and it was amazing time and incredible experience of our lifes.

Here is official statement by Jordan Rudess:
The story begins back in the 1970s at the Juilliard School of Music, where I first began my musical explorations. I once had the opportunity at Juilliard to watch Pierre Boulez conduct Stravinsky’s “Rite of Spring”. Passion burst out of each note of the piece, and the intense power of the full orchestral sound made an astronomical impact on me. Fast forward to the present…
In early 2010, my dear friend, the Venezuelan impresario, Emanuel Abramovits, invited me to play a few solo concerts. Emanuel was interested in my classical music background and promised me that, if I wrote an orchestral piece, he would find an orchestra to premier it. In a serendipitous twist of fate, days after I received Emanuel’s invitation, I heard a recording of a student orchestra in Turkey performing versions of Dream Theater songs. Eren Başbuğ, who at that point was only 18 years old, had single-handedly orchestrated and organized that impressive project. The stars had aligned, and through the magic of YouTube, I had found my orchestrator. Eren and I worked closely (thanks to Skype) as I worked on my composition, and by October, 2010, Explorations for Keyboard and Orchestra premiered to a sold out crowd at Centro Cultural Corp Banca in Caracas, Venezuela with me at the keyboards and Eren conducting.
Challenges arose when it became time to find a method of recording this piece with a professional orchestra – a process that is costly and complicated. I decided to hold a crowdfunding campaign in order to raise what I would need to pay for the project, and I was amazed when, a few months later, my goal had been reached. At this point, an even larger obstacle emerged: how to find an orchestra that could handle this score. The music is both rhythmically and technically complex and its progressive sections would be especially challenging for traditionally trained classical musicians. Yet, again, the magic of the Internet connected me to Michał Mierzejewski and Sinfonietta Consonus in Poland. They had just released “Symphonic Theater of Dreams”, an album of orchestral versions of Dream Theater music. By their impressive grasp of DT music, I was confident that they would be able to conquer Explorations, and so it was decided that the orchestra would rehearse and record for several months in Gdansk, Poland while I lay my piano tracks down in New York, and then, in November, I would fly to Gdansk to put down some of my additional keyboard and iPad parts and work with the team in person.
I’ve sat in front of my synthesizers for years, twisting the knobs, trying to recreate the vast aural intensity of a live, acoustic orchestra. With Explorations for Keyboard and Orchestra, I am finally able to hear one of my own compositions brought to life by that unmistakable sound. In writing this composition, I was able to bring together the elements of the most influential classical music I’ve experienced, along with the rock power and intensity that I am known for in my work with Dream Theater. Explorations for Keyboard and Orchestra is a total “progressive” music experience. “Progressive” in that it is a forward thinking composition fusing my classical and progressive/metal sensibilities, but progressive also in showcasing new music technology. Thanks for listening,
Jordan Rudess

You can get the CD from Amazon, CDBaby or iTunes.
